Pranwalai Kittirattanawiwat
Pranwalai’s infatuation with all things food began very early in life. When she was a child even before she was allowed in the kitchen, the only thing she always insisted to her friends was that they pretend play cooking. As she got older, it became her passion to travel to different regions around the world to try out the different cuisines and dishes they have to offer. Moving to New York City, one of the food capitals of the world, had been a dream come true. The past 7 years Pranwalai threw herself into learning everything about the restaurant business, from cooking to waitressing before finally ended up at the restaurant manager position. Her culinary adventures connected her with a group of friends that shared her vision of wanting to open a restaurant in New York City that serves the food they grew up eating “Fish Cheeks”. In 2020, Pranwalai opened “Pad Thai Zones” under the name of Padthai Maethongbai in Bangkok, Thailand. With locations in Phayathai districts, Pad Thai Mae Thongbai serves pad thai and similarly fast-casual street food.
